The BBC’s Frank Gardner explains what the move means for Yemen’s future

Key Yemeni General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, long close to President Ali Abdullah Saleh, says he is backing the protest movement against the regime.

Two other senior army commanders are also reported to have resigned.

President Saleh said he was “holding out” and the National Defence Council said it would block any “coup”.

Tanks were deployed in the capital, Sanaa, apparently to defend key points including the presidential palace, defence ministry and central bank.

BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner says that one by one, the pillars of President Saleh’s power are being knocked away.

The military commanders who announced their resignations are from President Saleh’s Hashid tribe.

Sadiq al-Ahmar, head of the Hashid tribal federation, told al-Jazeera that it was time for Mr Saleh to make a “quiet exit”.

One of the tribe’s leaders said the Hashid were rallying behind Gen Ahmar as a possible replacement for President Saleh, the Associated Press reported.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s foreign minister was sent to Saudi Arabia with a message from President Saleh to King Abdullah, the state news agency said. The contents of the message were not reported.

‘Youth revolution’

Gen Ahmar is the commanding officer of a division of the army which has sent units to a main square in the capital, Sanaa, where protests have taken place.

“The crisis is getting more complicated and it’s pushing the country towards violence and civil war,” the general – who commands an armoured infantry division – said in a statement broadcast by al-Jazeera television.

“According to what I’m feeling, and according to the feelings of my partner commanders and soldiers… I announce our support and our peaceful backing to the youth revolution. We are going to fulfil our duties in preserving security and stability.”

Dozens of officers of various ranks lined up in central Sanaa to pledge their allegiance to the revolution.

The deputy speaker of parliament, the governor of the southern province of Aden, and a number of ambassadors were also reported to have resigned in protest against the violent suppression of anti-government demonstrations.

But President Saleh was defiant. “We’re still here,” he was quoted as saying. “The great majority of the Yemeni people are with security, stability and constitutional law.

“Those who are calling for chaos, violence, hate and sabotage are only a tiny minority.”

A source close to Mr Saleh told the BBC that the president was not stepping down, and that he would call elections later this year.

The source claimed that if Mr Saleh left now, Yemen would descend into inter-tribal fighting within hours, and dismissed Gen Ahmar as someone who had never been close to the president.

The National Defence Council, which includes the military command and President Saleh, indicated in a statement they would oppose any effort to topple President Saleh.

“We will not allow under any circumstances an attempt at a coup against democracy and constitutional legitimacy, or violation of the security of the nation and citizens,” the statement said, according to Reuters news agency.

“The armed forces will stay faithful to the oath they gave before God, the nation and political leadership under the brother President Ali Abdullah Saleh.”

On Sunday, President Saleh fired his entire cabinet in apparent response to protests against his rule. He asked them to stay in place in a caretaker capacity.

‘Massacre’

The president has faced a number of resignations by ministers and officials since the killing of at least 45 people at an anti-government demonstration on Friday.

Gunmen in civilian clothes fired on the rally in the capital’s central square, in what the opposition called a massacre.

The killings prompted tens of thousands of people to turn out at the funerals of the victims.

President Saleh declared a national state of emergency but denied his forces were behind the shooting.

Yemen is one of a number of countries in the region that have seen unrest since the presidents of Egypt and Tunisia were ousted in popular revolts.

The president has been in power for 32 years, facing a separatist movement in the south, a branch of al-Qaeda, and a periodic conflict with Shia tribes in the north.

He has said he will not seek another term in office in 2013, but has vowed to defend his regime “with every drop of blood”.

The Dome of the Rock is an Islamic Shrine built over Jerusalem’s Temple Mount

Eligael Gedalyovich, who released the first video of a UFO hovering over the Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem on January 28, 2011, claims to have found new video that reveals in greater detail the UFO that appeared that day. Eligael claims to have been present during the filming of the very first video of the Dome of the Rock UFO which he posted to his Youtube channel.

Another video soon emerged from a different source (Shshsh331) from another angle, and appeared to independently confirm the original video posted by Eligael. These first two videos have been widely viewed to be the most credible of the videos that have emerged so far of the Dome of the Rock UFO incident. At least one of the subsequent videos that have emerged, has been concluded to be a fake intended to discredit the first two genuine videos. Now Eligael has posted 3 seconds of what he claims to be conclusive proof that the Dome of the Rock UFO was in fact an interplanetary extraterrestrial vehicle.

The new Eligael video shows what appears to be a large metallic shaped flying saucer hovering over the Dome of the Rock, and casting a light in the vicinity. In Eligael’s original video, the UFO was descended over the Dome of the Rock and hovered for about 25 seconds, before quickly shooting up vertically. The new video appears to be a close up of the UFO during the period it was hovering. Eligael claims that the new video is three minutes in total, and the three seconds released so far is a teaser of what’s to come. It appears with captions: “Now the answer is clear” and “We are not alone.” Here’s the video.

Veteran Israeli UFO researcher Barry Chamish, was interviewed on the Kevin Smith show on February 4 about the Dome of the Rock UFO. He talked about the hundreds of witnesses and how the Israeli media and public is vigorously discussing the UFO sighting. He said that he had absolute confidence in the authenticity of the first two videos and claims that Eligael is a credible source. His interview can be heard here: Chamish is one of the few UFO researchers that can speak with authority about UFO sightings in Israel. These first two videos can be seen side by side and provide the context for the new video posted by Eligael.

The new video is bound to raise further controversy over what happened over the Dome of the Rock on January 28. If the Dome of the Rock incident involved an interplanetary vehicle its significance cannot be underestimated. It is a site holy to the world’s three major monotheistic religions: Islam; Judaism; and Christianity. A UFO appearing over the Dome of the Rock may well have the principal function of uniting humanity in response to the imminent appearance of extraterrestrial life. Alternatively, it may be setting the scene for a Second Coming type of event that some believe is part of a covert operation called Project Blue Beam using holographic technologies Was the UFO conducting a form of galactic diplomacy in preparing humanity for events that will point to the existence of extraterrestrial life? Or was it a scene setter for a contrived Second Coming and/or alien invasion?

One thing that is not in dispute is that soon after the January 28, Dome of the Rock incident, Hillary Clinton recalled up to 260 U.S. ambassadors from around the world to Washington DC for a one week conference that began on Monday, February 14. The unprecedented diplomatic recall involved discussion of issues too sensitive even for the Top Secret diplomatic communication channels used by the State Department. It is worth pointing out that the Wikileaks material that has been released so far involves diplomatic cables classified below Top Secret (Secret and Confidential) that were widely shared between different U.S. bureaucracies. In this writer’s opinion, the State Department recall was related to forthcoming events with momentous global significance that far exceeded in scope the official agenda released to the U.S. media.

If the new video posted by Eligael is genuine and conclusive proof of the visitation of extraterrestrial life over one of humanity’s most important religious sites, then it would qualify as the kind of global event that would have required secret discussions by the diplomatic elite of the U.S. in a highly secure environment. Eligael has given no date for when the rest of new video will be released. If genuine, its contents may well change the world as we know it.

Operation “Odyssey Dawn”? Why Not Operation “New Age” or “Cosmic Odyssey”?

Supercool ... I mean, Obama.

Well, continuing with my wild speculation about the nearness of disclosure.

A person has to be willing to take his life in his hands to talk about disclosure any more. Every time anyone has predicted its closeness, he or she has crashed and burned and here I go willingly mounting the cockpit for another doomed flight of the dodo predictors.

Of course if I were to say that disclosure will occur tomorrow every day for the next year, on one day I’m bound to be right.  So there is that to say as well for prediction.

But just a few more items here. First this Libyan expedition. “Odyssey Dawn.” Hmmmm…. In the world of the military and espionage, that so loves symbolism…. “Odyssey Dawn.” Why not just call it Operation “New Age” or “Cosmic Odyssey”?  Or “Galactic Encounters”?

What happened to “Valiant Shield” and all the other “war on terror” designations? Have we entered a new era, pray tell? (I’m being sarcastic. Of course we have)

I see this rather revealing codename for the Libyan expedition as another wee sign to the watchful.

And here we have President Barack Obama, jauntily mounting the podium in Rio, white shirt sans tie, beaming away. Or playing soccer  with the nation’s next generation. Happy Preedy, (1) without a care in the world. Far away from any taint of association with the Cruise missiles and Tornadoes reducing Gaddaffi’s empire to an island.  Off on a tour of South America. Vive Rio!

Yes, he has his secure communication gear with him but, looking at him, you’d think he was electioneering. Or….

South America – one of the hotspots of UFO activity on the planet. Fleets of spaceships over Lima, Peru. Transparency in Brazil.  Military officers in Ecuador freely discussing the subject. (2) An openness to UFOlogy that is second to none in the world. What might the President be discussing next with the President of Chile? Is he preparing the Chileans for disclosure?

We heard from Hatonn on Nov. 15, 2010:

“Obama now knows we have him covered and he can proceed without fear for his family’s safety and his own. Media report what they are told, of course, but the truth is, now that he knows Earth’s ascension timetable, he’s negotiating with [the] powers that be either personally or via safe communication channels to shut down Illuminati strongholds in his country, Europe and the Orient.” (3)

Is this a new leg of that journey? Is he down in South America enlisting their aid as well to eject the Illuminati and prepare for disclosure?  We just have to stay tuned. There is no way of knowing for certain unless the galactics tell us and, far from commenting on the matter, they seem to have grown quiet, exactly as you might expect if we were in our final approach, as I think we are.

But, hey, how many times have we been here before? I may just join the rogue’s gallery of failed predictors. Move over, Make room for me. Here I come!

Läsare email mig med frågor om varför ”president Obama” gjorde det eller det och jag har sagt att, ja, han kanske inte har gjort detta eller detta.  Det kanske har varit människor i hans administration eller i det militära som fortfarande är lojala till Illuminati.  Det kan ha varit folk vars uppdrag är att förstöra trovärdigheten för presidentens administration.

Vi måste komma ihåg att president Obama är en man, och allting som han instruerar andra att göra, i samma minut som det lämnar hans läppar eller hans händer, är sedan utfört av dessa andra.  Om de är böjda för att undergräva hans order – vad kan han göra för att hindra det? Många administrationer och förvaltningar har varit förbundna i knop genom byråkrater som arbetade för ”oppositionen”.

Nu har vi Matthew Ward som säger den här månaden en version av samma sak. Så jag skulle uppskatta om dessa som har haft frågor liknande de här, att ta lärdom av vad Matthew säger i sitt senaste meddelande om de predikament som presidenten står inför:

För några få månader sedan talade Hatonn med stor passion om den kraftfulla opposition som president Obama handskas med och behovet för era stödjande tankar och böner för honom och hans familj. Ändå är min Mamma belägrad av emails med frågor om varför presidenten vidtar en eller annan åtgärd som upprätthåller eller förvärrar just de situationer han valdes för att rätta till. Frågeställarna, som kanske tillskriver mer auktoritet i Vita huset än Konstitutionen gör, inser inte att denna regering länge har varit Illuminatis bastion och deras avsikt med att skapa missuppfattningen om landet. Deras grepp på många medlemmar i Kongressen är fortfarande starkt, och först efter att kontrollen upphör kommer Obama att kunna vägleda sin administration mot nationella reformer och den fredliga värld han är ägnad att uppnå.  (Matthews Meddelande, 12 mars 2011), se http://galacticchannelings.com/svenska/matthew12-03-11.html

Vad som verkar tilldra sig är att Matthew, Hatonn eller SaLuSa kommer att utfärda ett meddelande i vilket de berättar för oss att presidenten är en ljusarbetare av första graden och vi kommer ihåg det under en enda dag.  Sedan finns det korrupta medlemmar bland Republikanerna och Kongressen, byråkratin, militären eller fundamentalistiska pratshower (inte alla inom dessa grupper är korrupta, det säger jag inte) som skrider till handling och börjar emittera skräckinjagande historier om vad de säger att presidenten har gjort, gör nu eller kommer att göra.  Och vi ljusarbetare köper det, förkämpar för de svaga som vi är.

Vi tar upp så många åtgärder som vi uppmanas till genom den mörka sidan.  Vi agerar som lämlar och tillåter mörkret göra oss alldeles snurriga genom sin kontroll av media, Kongressen och andra organ och institutioner.

Matthew, Hatonn och SaLuSa har inte vacklat i sitt stöd för presidenten sedan innan han valdes.  Visst kan vi också se igenom informationen vi utsätts för och inse att mannen som blivit representerad som ett verktyg för Illuminati antingen har blivit lurad eller utsatts för pågryckningar som, av en eller annan orsak, han inte kan stå upp emot förrän Illuminati har blivit besegrat.

Så snart Illuminatis järngrepp på regeringen, militären etc har brutits, vilket troligen kommer att bli det här året, tror åtminstone jag att president Obama kommer att kunna faktiskt leda sin regering och genomföra några av sina omhuldade planer, utan att de undergrävs och ändras.

Vi kan vänta på historieböckerna för detaljer om det tryck som en man, som innehade posten som president, utsattes för eller vi kan använda vårt goda omdöme till att föreställa oss vad presidents position kanske är.  Kom ihåg att den senaste presidenten som bestämde sig för att stänga ner CIA och Federal Reserve, avslöja förekomsten av utomjordingar på planeten och så vidare, blev mördad.  Den här presidenten, har det sagts, kommer inte att bli det (1), men han kanske är oroad för andra medlemmar av sin administration också.  Och han kan verkligen inte kontrollera hela institutioner vars högsta rang av makt står emot honom.
